Irises have been said to be messengers from the creator—carrying with them messages that help us unleash our hidden self and open our consciousness and perception.

And that’s exactly what they did as I worked on this collection.

With each stroke of my brush and layer of chroma, they spoke to me—giving me notes of hope, faith, wisdom, elegance, valor, and transformation. They do not dismiss the sorrows we hold but see them in their own right—maybe more fully than we can. They hold them softly and gently, illuminating their message to us.
